29 Nov 2000 theVooner's Christmas 2000 Wish List With Christmas 2000 just around the corner, I thought I'd create a wish list of things I’m looking to get for myself. I’ve already got a new laptop, digital camera, and a DV Camera, so that’s off the list. Instead, these are some of the better things available now that I don’t already have. Some of the items though are just "upgrades" of my existing gear. Nevertheless, these are the things that motivate me when I’m working into the wee hours of the night... Top 10 Wish List for theVooner:
The new Aibo is top of theVooner’s wishlist. What more could you want than an interactive dog that doesn’t make a mess all over the house, pauses at will, and is programmable! The color handheld by Compaq is the best looking handheld since the Palm
V. With all of its features, and despite all its limitations, this is one
cool gear that’s at the top of my list. Alternatively, the Color
Sony PEG-S500C is also a strong candidate as my next PDA (especially
with its new blue/red cover available for this Christmas). With so many different Plasma TV’s out there, this one by Sharp is the perfect size for the compact apartments of Asia. Also would consider the very sleek Nakamichi PDP-42. The G4 Cube is the perfect replacement for theVooner’s now outdated iMac. While the new iMac’s are great machines at a great price, the G4 Cube with a 15" Apple Flat-Panel Display would just look so good! Also would add on the Harmon Kardon Soundsticks. The new Network Walkman is the perfect replacement for theVooner’s Music Clip. Because I own a Nikon 880 that uses Compact Flash, this would be my choice instead of Sony’s PHD-A55 Digital Photo Frame that only uses the Memory Stick. It’s standard may not hold up, it’s still expensive, but hey, its recordable DVD today. If it helps get rid of the hundreds of videotapes I have AND record in digital, it may be worth it. While waiting for the new Color Gameboy next year, the new Wonder Swan may just be the bridge that holds me over. It’s small, plays great games (Final Fantasy, and a new golf game), and is now in color. Just so I can be comfortable at home when I’m browsing the web or typing all these reviews. Besides, is there any chair out there that looks nicer? Costing more than twice what most Montblanc pens go for, this is the best looking and most intimidating writing instrument out there. Though if I got it, I’d probably lose it in a day so it’s not really a choice. |
